Tara Smith
School/University Programs Tara is a 2020 graduate of Duke University. She has a rich background in meditation and contemplative practice, attending her first retreat at age 6. Tara has completed completed Phase One of the Koru Mindfulness Teacher Certification, a program specializing in teaching contemplative practices to college students. Tara was the youngest person to be accepted into the Koru Teacher Certification program, which was developed by Holly Rogers, MD, Margaret Maytan, MD and Libby Webb, LCSW at Duke University. She is the co-author of The Invisible Present, a book about attention, being human and being happy. Tara also has passions for women's studies, neuroscience and philosophy.
